"BLACK SUGAR: NOT SO SWEET"
listen now

BLACK SUGAR: NOT SO SWEET is S.O.J.E.S.'s 13-part podcast focused on the truth about convict leasing, the Sugar Land sugar industry, the hardships of the Sugar Land 95, and little-known facts about the origins of Sugar Land and Fort Bend County.

Conceived and extensively researched by S.O.J.E.S. President Robin Cole and produced and directed by S.O.J.E.S. board member Ursela Knox, BLACK SUGAR: NOT SO SWEET is designed to be an honest conversation about why these subjects are important to the history and understanding of this community we call home.

BLACK SUGAR: NOT SO SWEET. It's a great way to learn and know the bitter truth.
